Bert knows what employers need to grow more jobs. As our new senator, Bert will be committed to holding the line on taxes, creating incentives to attract new industry and being a partner in local recruiting efforts for our district.

Bert Dodson is President and CEO of Dodson Pest Control. With over 500 employees under his direction, Bert understands what businesses need to grow jobs. He also served on Lynchburg City Council for 12 years, including six as Vice Mayor. Bert will use his business experience to help create jobs and promote economic opportunity. Bert believes that government should operate much the same as a business, where efficiency and accountability are more important than scoring political points.

Bert strongly believes the best investment we can give our children and grandchildren is a quality education. Bert will also strive to fund workforce-retraining programs so all of our citizens can compete for the jobs of the future. He will support renewed investment in public and higher education while striving for greater accountability.

The James River is a key resource that impacts all nine counties in the new 22nd Senate District which includes part of the City of Lynchburg, part of Louisa County and all of Amherst, Appomattox, Buckingham, Cumberland, Fluvanna, Goochland, and Prince Edward counties. Bert is committed to protecting that resource for future generations to come.

Bert knows that, in business, one can not be successful unless you are willing to listen and respond to your customers' needs. We can count on Bert to listen to our concerns about the issues that matter most to us.
